At The Sheppey Inn, Sundays are our busiest and most cherished days of the week. To ensure we can continue providing the best possible service, atmosphere, and local produce to all our guests, we operate a minimum spend policy for all Sunday bookings.

The Requirement

  • Adults: Each adult diner is required to reach a minimum spend of £25.00.
  • Children: There is currently no minimum spend requirement for children under the age of 12, provided they are dining with a full-paying adult.

What Counts Towards the Total?

The minimum spend can be met through any combination of:

  • Main courses, starters, and desserts.
  • Draft beers, local ciders, spirits, and wines.
  • Soft drinks and hot beverages.

Terms & Conditions

  • Calculation: The minimum spend is calculated per person and cannot be averaged across a large group (e.g., one guest spending £40 does not offset a guest spending £0).
  • Shortfalls: In the event that the individual spend is less than £25.00, the difference will be added to the final bill as a “Minimum Spend Supplement.
  • Walk-ins: This policy applies primarily to table reservations. Bar-only walk-ins are subject to capacity and may not require a minimum spend unless a dining table is occupied.

Why do we do this? As a unique destination pub, we want to ensure that every guest who joins us for the “Sunday Experience” gets a seat at the table. This policy helps us manage our high demand and support our local suppliers and hard-working kitchen team.
