The Sheppey Inn: Table Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation Policy
1. Booking Confirmation and Deposit
When booking a table at The Sheppey Inn, we require debit or credit card details to secure your reservation.
- No Upfront Charge: Please note that your card will not be charged at the time of booking. We do not take an upfront monetary deposit for general table reservations.
- Card Security: The card details are held securely and are used solely for the purpose of guaranteeing the booking against late cancellation or no-show, as outlined in Section 2 below.
2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We operate a strict no-show and late cancellation policy to ensure fairness to our kitchen team, servers, and other guests who may have wished to book a table.
- Cancellation Window: To avoid incurring a fee, any cancellation or reduction in the number of guests must be communicated to us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled dining time.
- Late Cancellation Fee: Should you cancel your booking, or reduce your party size, within 48 hours of the dining time, a fee of £10 per person will be charged to the card details held on file.
- No-Show Fee: If you fail to arrive for your reservation (a ‘no-show’), a fee of £10 per person will be charged to the card details held on file.
3. Making Changes to Your Booking
- Amendments: We kindly ask that you notify us of any required amendments to your reservation (e.g., changes to the time or party size) as soon as possible.
- Availability: All amendments are subject to availability and must be confirmed by a member of our team.
- Confirmation: An amendment is only valid once you have received confirmation from The Sheppey Inn.
4. Late Arrivals
We understand that delays can sometimes occur.
- Holding Tables: We will hold your table for a maximum of 15 minutes past your scheduled booking time.
- Contact Us: If you anticipate arriving more than 15 minutes late, please call us immediately. We will do our utmost to accommodate you, but please be aware that after this time, we may release the table, and the booking may be treated as a no-show, potentially incurring the £10 per person fee.
5. Final Confirmation
By providing your card details to secure a booking, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and accept the terms of this Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation Policy.
