Welcome, beloved humans and your fantastic four-legged companions, to The Sheppey Inn! We absolutely adore having well-behaved pooches join us, and to ensure everyone (two-legged and four-legged alike!) has a tail-waggingly good time, we’ve whipped up a few friendly guidelines. Think of them as our “pawsitive” pointers for a harmonious visit!

A Few Friendly Pointers for Pawsome Patrons:

  • Bringing a Pooch? Let Us Know! If your marvellous mutt is joining you for a meal, please notify us at the point of booking your table. This helps us ensure we can allocate the perfect spot for you and your furry friend!

  • Lead the Way (Literally!): Please keep your marvellous mutt on a lead at all times while inside or on our premises. We know they’re probably desperate to greet every new smell and wagging tail, but this keeps everyone safe and happy, including our serving staff and other guests. No off-leash zoomies, please!

  • Poop Patrol: Your Superpower! We know accidents happen, but if your furry friend decides to leave a little “present,” please be a superhero and clean it up immediately. Have a quiet word with our friendly team if you need a little assistance or supplies!

  • Paws on the Floor, Please! As much as we love cuddly companions, we kindly ask that paws (and the rest of them!) stay off the furniture. Our chairs and tables are strictly for human bottoms and delicious food, not for canine snoozes or impromptu counter-surfing.

  • Quiet Barks, Happy Hearts: We understand an excited woof or two, but please try to keep barking to a minimum. We want all our guests to enjoy their meals and conversations without a symphony of barks. If your dog becomes a bit too vocal, we might gently suggest a quick “comfort break” outside.

  • No Table Scraps, Please! While those puppy-dog eyes are incredibly persuasive, kindly refrain from feeding your dog from the table

  • Water Bowls Provided: Your thirsty companion is welcome to fresh water from our designated dog bowls. Just ask a member of staff, and we’ll be happy to provide one.

  • Respecting Space: Not all humans (or other dogs!) are comfortable with close encounters. Please ensure your dog remains close to your table and doesn’t wander up to other guests or tables, especially those enjoying their meals.

  • Designated Doggie Zones: To make sure everyone feels comfortable, we have specific areas where dogs are most welcome. If you’re unsure, just ask, and we’ll guide you to the perfect spot.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. By following these simple rules, you’re helping us maintain a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all our visitors. We can’t wait to see you and your delightful dog soon!
